Winners, Official Finalists and the Semi-Finalists, Quarter-Finalists of the 2023 New York International Screenplay Awards will be announced officially on April 27th, 2023. All in once!
The award ceremony will be at the DROM Venue, on May 10th, 2023 (The date might change, TBA)!
NYISA has been founded by Emine Dursun in 2015. Emine Dursun is a Sundance-Alumna and New York-based Screenwriter, Script Doctor, and Creative Writing Teacher. She is a jury member of lots of Film Festivals and Screenplay competitions such as The Writers Lab which is supported by Meryl Streep, Oprah Winfrey, and Nicole Kidman and is produced by New York Women in Film & Television.
She is leading workshops named “ How To Write An Award Winning Screenplay”, “Character Creation”, “Building A Strong Structure”, “Efficient Moving Dialogue Writing”, and “Creative Writing”.
NYISA offers the workshops “How to write An Award-winning Screenplay” and “Advanced Screenwriting Development Programs.”
NYISA 2016 Award Ceremony
The first of the award ceremonies took place on May 10th 2016 in Manhattan. The screenwriters who submitted their scripts, producers and the other guests who work in the American movie industry had a chance for networking oppurtunities at the award ceremony and the after party.
